Dave MacQuarrie presents: Couples Coming Together

Saturday, September 21 2019 and Sunday, September 22 2019

Relationships: Sometimes wonderful, frequently disastrous. All of us want to have great relationships, but few succeed. What does it require?  Have you been told that you just need to communicate? Did it help? The major difficulty in relationships is not communication — it is cooperation! When we learn to cooperate, then communication becomes important.

Modern life imposes may needs onto relationships. For Dave, it is essential that we know ourselves and our values, bringing this as a gift to the other, while we support the other in becoming the best they can be. We can be at peace with who we are, and ultimately end up where and with whom we belong. Through a variety of metaphors and skills. Dave suggests tools that allow us to create successful friendships and partnerships. A weekend to explore how you can be more successful.

The weekend is open to couples of any persuasion, as well as singles who aspire to better relationships.

About Group Process – This is an ongoing group who’s primary focus is to explore how we can bring ourselves more fully into relationships. This group operates on the premise that awareness of self and others is fundamental to the development of healthy interpersonal interactions. Within a group framework we can gain tremendous insight into ourselves, our interpersonal style and its impact on others. We can enhance our understanding of what drives us and what holds us back in relationships. We can let go of unhealthy patterns of relationship and of things, such as judgment and shame, which can keep us from engaging in a healthy, connected way. We can safely explore ways to communicate openly and honestly, to manage interpersonal boundaries, and to understand our own personal power.

We can learn to be fully present in relationships as we lay the foundation to authentically interact with others.

Group Schedule – Groups are ongoing throughout the year. We offer two daytime groups depending on your preference and schedule allowances. We require a minimum of 3 months commitment but encourage clients to participate in the groups 9 month duration to make the most of this experience. Cohesion and sharing takes time with the group setting and is best when not rushed.

Who Can Benefit – The Group is open to women over the age of 18 years. We welcome women from all walks and stages of life.

Topics that are typically explored are;

  • Family of Origin

  • Relationships (including divorce and separation)
