Deborah Alton (B.A., N.L.P., M.A.C.P., R.P.) is a registered psychotherapist and has been providing psychotherapy and mediation for over 30 years to adults, couples, adolescents and families. She also spent 15 years in the social service sector working with troubled adults and youth as a probation officer. Deborah was an associate for many years at the well known Yonge/Lawrence Centre of Counseling and Consulting in Toronto. Deborah relocated to Barrie and created the Reflection Centre in 2004. Deborah is passionate about her work with families, which is evident in the results achieved by her clients.
Deborah is a member of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario and is on the board of the Simcoe Collaborative Law Association. She provides Couples Therapy as well as Divorce/Family Coaching. She is committed to assisting couples and co-parents towards a decision making process that is 'win-win' and she provides a safe environment to explore change. Deborah guides her clients towards removing the barriers to love's presence, and empowers them to live their lives at their FULL potential.
She is a passionate public speaker, teaching groups, teams, and corporations how to effect positive change and transformation.

Elyse Ayliffe (B.S.W., M.S.W. (cand)., R.S.W) is a registered social worker and has been providing counselling at the Reflection Centre since 2014. She a compassionate professional who provides counselling and therapy services to families, adolescents, and adults. Elyse has experience in mental health, relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, family/couple conflict, managing emotions, flexible thinking, coping skills, and life coaching. Elyse has completed her Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree and is currently completing her Masters in Social Work. She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as a member of the Ontario Association of Social Work. Elyse is a certified New Ways for Families coach and help guide families to learn how to manage their emotions and bring flexible thinking to problem-solving.
Miranda Conley (C.Y.W., B.A., M.A.C.P. (cand)) is an individual and group counsellor who joined the Reflection Centre as a Graduate Student Counsellor in 2018. She has finished the academic portion of her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University. Miranda provides counselling from a person-centred focus, believing that individuals are the experts on their own experiences, needs, and goals. She is warm and understanding, and has worked with children, youth and adults. She has experience supporting clients with anxiety/depression, stress management, traumatic life events, childhood and family of origin struggles, health and wellness, difficult life transitions, LGBTQ+, and personal empowerment. Miranda views wellness from a holistic perspective, including physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health. Dave MacQuarrie (M.D., Ph.D) is a retired physician with a Masters of Arts degree in Applied Behavioral Science and extensive training in Gestalt Therapy and NeuroLinguistic Programming. He is currently completing a PhD at Wisdom University (www.wisdomuniversity.org) on psychological issues related to climate change. Much of his work consists of exploring anger and grief. Dave Is an NLP Practitioner and NLP Coach. He is also an International Laughter Leader in laughter yoga. Dave is no longer funded under OHIP as he has retired his medical licence. He has been the Consultant Physician (Anger Management) to Bellwood Health Services in Toronto. Cindy McAfee (R.S.S.W) is a graduate of the Social Service Worker Program and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is experienced in group and individual counseling. Cindy has 13 years experience working with clients dealing with addictions to alcohol and drugs. She has facilitated groups in Barrie and works as an addiction specialist at the Reflection Centre. She also works at identifying and resolving a range of difficulties using a strength based perspective to empower her clients to live life to the fullest. Currently, Cindy co-facilitates womens and mixed groups at the Reflection Centre, empowering others to maximize their own potential and strengthen their relationships.
Laura Pageau (M.A.C.P., N.L.P) has trained in Psychotherapy and is a Certified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner. She has a Masters in Counseling and Psychology. Passionate about working in the healing field, Laura offers a unique blend of loving presence, genuine curiosity and compassion in the counseling relationship. Together with the client, Laura allows the unfolding of the process to occur at the clients' pace, which leaves room for the agenda to change and evolve along the way. Laura works both in Barrie and our Lambton Centre and has experience utilizing a variety of counseling interventions, including short-term goal focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational and strength-based therapies.
