Deborah Alton (B.A., N.L.P., M.A.C.P., R.P.) is a registered psychotherapist and has been providing psychotherapy and mediation for over 30 years to adults, couples, adolescents and families.  She also spent 15 years in the social service sector working with troubled adults and youth as a probation officer. Deborah was an associate for many years at the well known Yonge/Lawrence Centre of Counseling and Consulting in Toronto.  Deborah relocated to Barrie and created the Reflection Centre in 2004.  Deborah is passionate about her work with families, which is evident in the results achieved by her clients.
Deborah is a member of the Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario and is on the board of the Simcoe Collaborative Law Association.  She provides Couples Therapy as well as Divorce/Family Coaching. She is committed to assisting couples and co-parents towards a decision making process that  is 'win-win' and she provides a safe environment to explore change.  Deborah guides her clients towards removing the barriers to love's presence, and empowers them to live their lives at their FULL potential. 
She is a passionate public speaker, teaching groups, teams, and corporations how to effect positive change and transformation.
Deborah is a co-author, and workshop/group facilitator.

Tyler Rosen graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a major in psychology. He has spent the past 5 years providing help for troubled young-adults and spends his free time giving back to society through his independent involvement with the homeless population in the Greater Toronto Area. Tyler is passionate about working with young-adults and this is apparent by the great improvements seen by the clients he has worked with. He builds strong professional relationships with all of his clients and delivers an effective method of personal growth and self-improvement for every individual. 

Tyler is determined to make a difference every single day, and his commitment to assisting in the overall well-being of his clients is evidence of just that. He is a life-coach and motivational speaker, providing therapy for individuals going through all types of pain; be it mental health issues, family separation, loss of a loved one, and much more.  He is confident in his abilities to shine light on the dark feelings that we go through in our journey of life, and encourages action in all of his clients - action to find true happiness.






Elyse Ayliffe (RSW) is a compassionate professional who provides counselling and therapy services to families, adolescents, and adults. She has worked at the Reflection Centre since 2014 and has experience in mental health, relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, family/couple conflict, managing emotions, flexible thinking and coping skills. If you are looking for support and guidance through challenging situations or you are just ready to make some changes in your life, She looks forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Elyse has completed her Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree and is currently completing her Masters in Social Work. She is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers as well as a member of the Ontario Association of Social Work.

Elyse is a certified New Ways for Families coach and help guide families to learn how to manage their emotions and bring flexible thinking to problem-solving. She also provides life coaching and counselling to adolescents and young adults.




Dave MacQuarrie is a retired physician with a Masters of Arts degree in Applied Behavioral Science and extensive training in Gestalt Therapy and NeuroLinguistic Programming.  He is currently completing a PhD at Wisdom University (www.wisdomuniversity.org) on psychological issues related to climate change.  Much of his work consists of exploring anger and grief.  Dave Is an NLP Practitioner and NLP Coach.  He is also an International Laughter Leader in laughter yoga. 
Dave is no longer funded under OHIP as he has retired his medical licence.  He has been the Consultant Physician (Anger Management) to Bellwood Health Services in Toronto.  His book "Blowing Out the Darkness--The Management of Emotional Life Issues, especially Anger and Rage" is available from Amazon or from AuthorHouse.com.


Cindy McAfee is a graduate of the Social Service Worker Program and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.  She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is experienced in group and individual counseling.  Cindy has 13 years experience working with clients dealing with addictions to alcohol and drugs.  She has facilitated groups in Barrie and works as an addiction specialist at the Reflection Centre.  She also works at identifying and resolving a range of difficulties using a strength based perspective to empower her clients to live life to the fullest.  Currently, Cindy co-facilitates womens and mixed groups at the Reflection Centre, empowering others to maximize their own potential and strengthen their relationships.

Errin Reilly
Business Development Manager, Coach & Group Facilitator

Errin is one of our highly skilled group facilitators at the Centre, facilitating adult therapy groups, children and youth groups and workshops.  Errin is passionate about coaching her clients through many transitions, identifying future paths and making overwhelming changes manageable and attainable.  With a strong background in business she works with clients to create effective personal marketing tools (resumes and cover letters), and create job search strategies.  Through workshops such as 'Intentions', she provides clients with the tools to identify their driving forces and begin to choose in favour of what they want to welcome into their lives.  One on one coaching, couples coaching and motivational speaking are among the services available.  Errin has also dedicated a significant amount of her career to grief support and provides support and coping tools to children and adults who are grieving losses spanning from the loss of relationship/job/home to the death of a loved one.


Laura Pageau has trained in Psychotherapy and is a Certified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner. She has a Masters in Counseling and Psychology. Passionate about working in the healing field, Laura offers a unique blend of loving presence, genuine curiosity and compassion in the counseling relationship. Together with the client, Laura allows the unfolding of the process to occur at the clients' pace, which leaves room for the agenda to change and evolve along the way.
Laura works both in Barrie and our Lambton  Centre and has experience utilizing a variety of counseling interventions, including short-term goal focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational and strength-based therapies.
